Tatyana Zhivov             Founder and Lead Instructor

Tatyana Zhivov is the Founder and Lead Instructor of Little Athletes. Her passion for movement began at an early age through dance and developed into a lifelong interest in physical education, gymnastics, and working with children.

Tatyana earned her Bachelor of Education in Physical Education from Kaye Academic College and began her professional career working with children in 2004. Her experience includes working as an elementary school Physical Education teacher, leading an after-school kindergarten program, and providing mobile gymnastics classes for daycares. She also spent five years as a gymnastics coach and worked as an educational aide supporting children with disabilities, giving her experience working with children of different abilities and individual needs.

After moving to Calgary, Tatyana continued her work with children, including teaching physical education at three public daycares. Over the past three years, she has developed and delivered Little Athletes programs in more than a dozen Calgary daycares, as well as organized and led numerous children’s events and activity programs.

Today, Little Athletes brings together Tatyana’s extensive background in education, physical education, gymnastics, childcare, and inclusive children’s programming. Her goal is to create positive and engaging experiences where children can stay active, build confidence, develop new skills, and have fun in a supportive environment.
